Leadership and advocacy represent core components of professional counseling identity and practice. Inclusive and equitable leadership is essential to increasing creativity, effectiveness, and justice in teams and organizations. However, training on inclusive and equitable leadership in counseling remains lacking. In efforts to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in counseling practice and counselor education, WACES and the Counseling Unit at Oregon State University are pleased to jointly present a WACES pre-conference program that offers in-depth training on inclusive leadership in counseling. This 6-hour program includes setting-specific experiential leadership training workshops and meaningful conversations and learning with current national counseling leaders, Dr. S. Kent Butler (2021-2022 ACA President) and Dr. Natoya Haskins (2022-2023 ACES President).
Location: OSU Portland Center (555 SW Morrison St., Portland, OR, 97204 - second floor) Date: October 13, 2022 Time: 8:45 AM -- 4:30 PM (6 hours of NBCC CEUs)
