Volunteers WACES is seeking graduate student volunteers for the 2016 conference. Volunteers will need to be present from Thursday June 10 to Saturday June 12. WACES will hold an Emerging Leaders Fellowship program on the first day of the conference, Thursday November 9, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The call for applications closes on July 1. Emerging Leaders receive 50% off their conference registration. Please visit the Emerging Leaders page for more information.
Graduate Student Lunch
WACES will hold a graduate student lunch on Friday November 10 between 12:00 and 1:00 for students from different universities to meet and network! This lunch is free to all graduate students, and is coordinated by our current and past Graduate Student Representative, Chris Cleaver and Eric Strom. Graduate students who attend the conference will have opportunities to learn from professors, supervisors, and fellow graduate students from around the region. The conference has multiple receptions and snack breaks for networking, including meeting students and faculty from other institutions. At WACES, we pride ourselves for being an open and welcoming organization to people from all different backgrounds and interests. The conference also provides up to 15 continuing education credits, approved by NBCC. We welcome you to join us and enjoy the magic of Vancouver!
